Archangels

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth.

Just before that, though, a very interesting argument had just ended.

Different aspects of the mind of God had incarnated long before the start of time, with the intention of making their opinions heard. Gabriel, Michael and Uriel formed a power block and refused to give up on the concept of determinism. Samael favored free will, and wanted a democratic decision made about it, but Phanuel refused them all point blank, saying that as the Face of God, He/She/It had to have the last say. Israfil tried to set Himself up as mediator (as usual), but was distracted as Raphael and Haniel almost came to blows over whether humanity should experience pain. Only Azrael, the Angel of Death, stayed out of it. As It watched the ensuing threats and complaints, It found Itself shaking Its head. With the entirety of creation at stake, a metaphysical argument could cause a fall from grace for eternity. It would be a miracle if they got it all started.

Looking at the universe we got, who said it was not created by a committee?

Information for Players:This is a game of philosophical discussion, diplomacy and negotiation: some might be irreverent, some serious, depending upon the character and topic.

The game is (extremely loosely) based on Christian Biblical cosmology, particularly the Old Testament Book of Genesis. The subject is dealt with in ways ranging from mechanical/logistical to irreverent. Character sheets are 1-2 pages; there is comparatively little "world background" information. Thematic costuming is encouraged. All characters are written as gender-neutral. Players will be invited to declare a pronoun preference (if any) in the casting questionnaire.

B, Kate

Imperatrix: Team Villain

Kate was introduced to LARP in 1998-ish when people she'd known since Age 3 or earlier tricked her into coming to a game. In the intervening time, Kate was a player in a series of Washington, DC-based 3-year campaigns/chronicles, leading to a frockage closet covering a wide range of historical periods. Kate sold her soul (or just sold out?) and became a staff member for two subsequent series before repatriating to her native New England. Her writing and GM credits include the full-weekend LARP Drink Deeper, occasional scenarios for DC- area campaigns, and as an adopted American member of Intercon "Team Brit." These days, she's mostly floor-GMing other peoples’ games and taking it on the chin at UK Freeforms' annual events as one of the founding members of Team Villain.
