"The library has always been an otherworldly and wondrous space." (A.K. Kuykendall)

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, Otherworldly Consequences will run as an online convention throughout November. More information will be forthcoming as we work out the details.

Pillow Talk

An online larp for two people, to be played via audio only.

The two participants play a couple, in a series of scenes taken from different stages of their relationship. Each scene takes the form of a conversation, lying in bed together.

Ideally the participants would themselves be lying down, in the dark, connected via audio chat. But whatever’s practical.

Each scene is framed by a voiceover and music, which sets the story and the mood for the conversation that is to come. The participants listen to this simultaneously and then start the conversation. When they’ve finished the scene, they can take a break if wished, and then get ready to play the voiceover/music for the following scene.

Before the start of the larp, the two participants create their characters as at the start of the relationship. This is done by answering a series of questions. Some are answered together, but some (about the characters’ inner drives, etc) are answered individually and privately.

None of the scenes actually involve sex, although they may involve talking about it, if both participants are happy with that and it makes sense for the characters.

Lately he's been writing stuff with other people, including some experimental-style bits and bobs at this Consequences, influenced by Nordic larp and by tabletop storygames. Watch out!
