"The library has always been an otherworldly and wondrous space." (A.K. Kuykendall)

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, Otherworldly Consequences will run as an online convention throughout November. More information will be forthcoming as we work out the details.

Under the Faerie Hill

Come up the airy mountain, under the Faerie Hill! Hear the music playing, feel the building thrill!

Come into the secret garden, through the misty grey. See the dryad trees all waiting, in a breathless sort of way.

All the stars are smiling; they know that very soon, All will come to celebrate from lands beneath the moon!

In the human world of Ravinia, sorcery is banned. Instead go to where magic thrives, go to Fairyland!

At the Summer Solstice, a festive crowd does draw, Mages come to duel, far from the reach of law.

Anything can happen while you laugh and sing, dance and run, Come to where everything is different, everything is fun!

The Midnight Market bustles, The Fairy Fountain glistens, Wondrous tales and quests await, for those who give a listen.

Fairy folk and human mages, conversing all together. Green jacket, red cap, and those of a different feather!

Come up the airy mountain, under the Faerie Hill. Hear the music playing, feel the building thrill!

Under the Faerie Hill is a virtual LARP of secrets and exploration, using an open world “map”, where players can move around freely, uncovering hidden places and attending merriments with one another under the fairy hill.

It is generally a lighthearted, fantasy secrets-and-powers litform LARP for 26 players. The competitive elements of the LARP are pretty light; most of the LARP encourages cooperation, and the characters are all larger-than-life fairy tale tropes. There’s lots of romance and curse breaking and exploration of the faerie realm in the form of Choose-Your-Own-Adventures.

This LARP will use the virtual Remo conference technology to mimic open world game space players can walk between and visit, from the Shadow Court Tent to the Hidden Waterfall, from the Heart Tree to the Magic Dueling Grounds. Players can expect to search and unlock secrets of faerie, uncover runes, participate in sorcery duels, reunite with those long lost, shop at the midnight market, and partake in the merriment of faerie!

While the LARP is for 26 players, all locations in the game (which players may freely move between) accommodate only 2-6 players to allow for easier and more intimate video conversation experiences. We also do rules briefing on a different platform, like Discord audio chat.
