"You have to put yourself in a position to be lucky." (Roelof Botha)

Lucky Consequences, November 22–26, 2018, Naish Holiday Village, Christchurch, Dorset

Down the Line

You are travelling home. You feel slightly overwhelmed, and possibly hungover. You want to just shut your eyes and think for a moment, but you’re worried you don’t have time. You need to find a way to deal with what happened last night before things escalate out of your control. Before you lose your chance or your nerve.

A larp about awkwardness and passive aggression. The game is set on a train and the are characters returning from a party the night before where everything went wrong. Play focuses on avoiding and embracing confrontation and avoiding or embracing status and group norms.

Characters are created prior to the game through discussion, including answering specific, randomly drawn questions to create characters and details of what happened the night before.

Wood, Laura

I have written several larps which have run in several countries throughout Europe. I am a co-organiser of The Smoke (London's international larp festival) and On Location (a weekend long larp about existential angst in the 1930s film industry.) I have run 2 games that I have written previously at Consequences, Here Comes a Candle and Living Embers.
