"Nights through dreams tell the myths forgotten by the day." (C. G. Jung)

The physical Notorious Consequences is Cancelled due to the current Covid-19 situation. Instead, we plan to run an online convention throughout November. More detail will be forthcoming as we work out the details.

It's Everybody's War

"We in this quiet corner of England have suffered the loss of friends very dear to us. The homes of many of us have been destroyed, and the lives of young and old have been taken. There's scarcely a household that hasn't been struck to the heart."

"...This is not only a war of soldiers in uniform. It is the war of the people, of all the people. And it must be fought not only on the battlefield but in the cities and in the villages, in the factories and on the farms, in the home and in the heart of every man, woman and child who loves freedom. This is the People's War. It is our war."

Quote from Mrs Miniver, a British film made in 1942.

September 1940, the village hall in Cropstone, Leicestershire. In the midst of the Blitz, England endures. The Ministry of Information Film Unit has sent a cast and crew to the heart of the countryside to make a wartime propaganda movie to keep up peopleís spirits on the home front. Even in this quiet corner of England, we are all very much aware that no one is untouched by the current crisis, because Itís Everybodyís War.

The characters will be either residents of the village, evacuees, or newly arrived with the film crew. Expect intrigue, passion, petty rivalries, secrets and lies as the war rumbles on.

This is an alternate timeline game and does not follow real history. There are no however Cthuloid monsters.

Jacklin, Kevin

Kevin has been playing in, writing, producing and promoting freeform games for more than 20 years. A successful trilogy of co-written games, beginning with Home of the Bold in 1992 were the mainstay of the Convulsion convention, and introduced many stalwarts of the UK Freeforms group to the genre. Kevin produced the first UK weekend-long game of Cafe Casablanca under the Convivium banner in 1995. Kevin also enjoys boardgames, and it is through his association with designer Reiner Knizia that he has devised Hollywood Lives, which aims to meld together the constructive anarchy of freeforms with the world of high-pressure movie production and finance in an entertaining way.
